Statement from Connect Media Group on the Election and Commitment to Equality

Connect Media Group supports LGBTQ+ rights and condemns discrimination, standing for equality, solidarity, and a commitment to protecting vulnerable communities.
Editor 1 year ago 2 min read

At Connect Media Group, we stand with our diverse LGBTQ+ community, team, clients, and everyone who values human rights, integrity, and respect. This election has continued to highlight issues that deeply affect the lives of many, with policies and rhetoric that at times seek to undermine the rights and dignity of vulnerable communities, including LGBTQ+ individuals, women, people of color, immigrants, and low-income families.

We unequivocally condemn the demagoguery, racism, misogyny, xenophobia, bigotry, hatred, and disregard for facts and science that have continued to permeate public discourse. We oppose any ideology or policy aimed at harming or marginalizing people on the basis of their identity, income, or background—whether they are members of the LGBTQ+ community, people of color, immigrants, religious and ethnic minorities, or women. Such ideas and policies have no place in our society, and we reject them in all forms.

We recognize that many vulnerable community members may feel unsafe speaking out against injustice and discrimination. For this reason, we urge those who do feel safe and who are not direct targets of harm to stand up in solidarity. Silence and complacency allow harmful ideas to take root, and it’s essential that allies actively support and protect those who may not have the freedom to do so openly. Together, we can create a culture of accountability, solidarity, and positive change.

Connect Media Group remains steadfast in its commitment to advocating for truth, equality, and a world where everyone’s rights are recognized and protected. Thank you for standing with us in this vital mission.

At the top of the image is a pink icon showing a maze, with a headline below reading “The Trans Youth Emergency Project Helps Families Through the Maze of Accessing Gender-Affirming Care.” Below that are three icons with text. The first is a blue and pink compass with text reading “Patient Navigation to out-of-state healthcare options,” the second is a network with a person in the middle, reading “Ecosystem of care where families can reliably turn” and the final is a blue and pink gift with text that reads “Emergency grants to offset travel and medicine costs.” Beneath that is the Trans Youth Emergency Project logo, and a line that says ““www.TransYouthEmergencyProject.org” Trans Youth Emergency Project Supports Trans Youth, Families 2 min read
