Festival and Parade to Celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride in Downtown Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN — The Nashville Pride Festival is proud to announce the Equality Main Stage entertainment lineup including FLETCHER, Fitz and the Tantrums, Saucy Santana, LÉON, Miki Ratsula, Lauren Sanderson, corook and more scheduled to perform throughout the weekend.

This year’s Pride Festival will be held on Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25 at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park in Downtown Nashville. The Pride Parade will take place on Saturday, June 24 at 10:00 am starting at Broadway and 8th Ave. Tickets and festival information are available by visiting NashvillePride.org.

The annual festival and parade is the largest LGBTQ+ event in Tennessee with an expected attendance of more than 100,000 people this year. The festival features over 240 vendors, food trucks, three stages of live entertainment with over 100 acts performing over two days, an extensive kids and family area, youth area, art installations and much more. Nashville’s own LGBTQ+ artists will be well represented on the festival’s multiple stages, with performances from Autumn Nicholas, Chris Housman, Ysa, Tayls, Wyn Starks, Josey and more.

Music has the ability to unite and connect through shared emotion, creating a space where people can join together and experience the power of love and community–authentically and unapologetically. This year, the power of music is more important than ever. Nashville Pride has always selected artists that understand the power that music possesses, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community. Past artists include Lizzo, Tanya Tucker, JoJo, Wilson Phillips, Big Freedia, Ty Herndon, Lisa Loeb, Vanessa Carlton and En Vogue.

This year, the majority of our 2023 featured artists are members of the LGBTQ+ community and have been active allies of the LGBTQ+ community.

The first official Nashville Pride took place in 1988. While 2023 marks the 35th Anniversary of the first Nashville Pride, LGBTQ+ celebrations in Nashville can be traced back to 1973. While no two Pride festivals have looked the same, Nashville Pride’s commitment to creating a safe, welcoming space where the LGBTQ+ community can join together to experience joy has never wavered.

“This year is particularly important. In 2023, Nashville Pride serves as a place to honor our history, experience the present moment, and acknowledge the work that remains to protect and expand our rights,” said Mac Huffington, President of the Nashville Pride Board of Directors. “We will continue to stand up for our rights and our community…we will not be silenced or pushed back in the closet.”

Additional entertainment will be announced soon. To join in this historic event and stand up for the LGBTQ+ community, please visit NashvillePride.org for more information and to purchase tickets.

At the top of the image is a pink icon showing a maze, with a headline below reading “The Trans Youth Emergency Project Helps Families Through the Maze of Accessing Gender-Affirming Care.” Below that are three icons with text. The first is a blue and pink compass with text reading “Patient Navigation to out-of-state healthcare options,” the second is a network with a person in the middle, reading “Ecosystem of care where families can reliably turn” and the final is a blue and pink gift with text that reads “Emergency grants to offset travel and medicine costs.” Beneath that is the Trans Youth Emergency Project logo, and a line that says ““www.TransYouthEmergencyProject.org” Trans Youth Emergency Project Supports Trans Youth, Families 2 min read
