FROM THE PUBLISHER

Happy HoliGAYS! They are upon us and we’re super excited to be hosting the first annual HoliGAY Market benefiting Nashville Launch Pad. A lot of effort has gone into this event and I want to thank my wife, our volunteers and all of our supporters. Support those who support you and attend this event on October 21.

This issue is full of greatness and history-making. We want to congratulate Olivia Hill on her win for City Council-At-Large Nashville. Olivia is the first transgender candidate to win a position in all of Tennessee. Way to go, Olivia!

We also cover Dapper Owl, an English-inspired pub and coffee shop located in the heart of Murfreesboro near MTSU. There’s nothing like it in Murfreesboro or anywhere else in Middle Tennessee of which we are aware.

Attorney Ryan Peacock explains getting your affairs in order and the importance of doing so while Attorney Abby Rubenfeld seeks a call to action for those affected by the Vanderbilt release of HIPPA information that occurred earlier this year.

During the holidays, It can be a difficult time for those of us in the LGBTQ+ community because there’s so much focus on family. Our community is diverse and if you find yourself feeling like you don’t have a family, reach out. No matter what you do during the holiday season, remember you are loved.
