“We were scheduled to hold Franklin’s inaugural Pride last June at the historic Franklin Theatre. Unfortunately, we had to cancel those plans,” explains the PFLAG-Franklin Pride Committee.
Peytonsville Pete, the super gay Groundhog, emerges from hibernation only to find his adoring public has gone viral this year. Instead of looking for his shadow, he will be looking for an inclusive audience to determine whether pride comes early or late this year.
Franklin Pride 2021 is scheduled for Saturday, July 31, 2021, from 1:00 – 6:00 pm at The Farm at Harlinsdale Farm. There will be a craft fair, nonprofit & vendor booths, food trucks, youth activity tent, beer & wine, and activity on the stage all afternoon. The event is free; they are, however, accepting donations. Please visit their social media pages. Artisan and vendor applications can be found on their Facebook page and website.
