Former Evangelical Christian Leader Haley Osier Releases ‘A Letting Go’ as Openly Proud Lesbian

The album is a reflection of Osier's personal experiences and growth as a queer person who has left behind the faith she once clung to.

Haley Osier, the independent pop singer-songwriter from Nashville, is back with a brand new album, “A Letting Go,” which chronicles the journey of missing someone who hurt you and reckoning with that hurt. The album is a reflection of Osier’s personal experiences and growth as a queer person who has left behind the faith she once clung to.

Osier’s music has been described as “moody sapphic pop,” and her latest project delivers her signature warm, emotive vocals over a cinematic pop soundscape. The album features ten tracks, each one exploring different facets of Osier’s journey, from the pain and pining of first queer love to the weight and trauma of betrayal.

Producer, collaborator, and frequent co-writer Chase Coy praised Osier’s work, saying, “She not only talks about her experiences leaving religion, but also sapphic love, deep loss, and the weight and trauma of betrayal; not only does she navigate these topics deftly, but she also manages to make it all so damn catchy and digestible.”

“Haley is brave not only for daring to be an artist but for tackling topics that she and millions of others have experienced intimately. She speaks directly to the hearts of the people who hear her music because she understands the pain and trauma of those seeking an identity in a post-evangelical setting.”

— Chase Coy (Musician/Producer)

Osier’s journey has been a long and winding one, from playing shows for Six Flags and Radio Disney as a young artist in Texas to taking a seven-year hiatus from music to find herself as a queer person and discover a new language for her experience. The result is a fresh sound and artistic identity that has won over fans and critics alike.

Written entirely by Osier and Coy, and recorded at Hazy Lane Productions in Nashville, TN, ‘A Letting Go,’ invites us into the songwriter’s world, sharing her journey of self-discovery and acceptance with an unapologetic attitude and thoughtful lyrics.

“A Letting Go” is available now on all major streaming platforms. For more information about Haley Osier and her music, visit www.haleyosier.com and STREAM ‘A LETTING GO’ NOW.
