We Are One Recovery Opens New Recovery Residence with Rainbow Ribbon Cutting

NASHVILLE, TN – We Are One Recovery, Nashville’s only LGBTQIA2S+ recovery residence whose mission is to assist LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and allies with having a safe place to live free of alcohol, drugs, or persecution, is celebrating the opening of their second recovery house with a rainbow ribbon cutting on May 9, from noon to 4pm at 120 Rayon Dr., Old Hickory.   

The Tennessee Pride Chamber of Commerce will facilitate the rainbow ribbon cutting with the organization’s staff, family, and supporters in attendance. The event is open to the public and will include the grand opening of the new residence, door prizes and refreshments. 

“We are excited to announce that Tennessee’s first & only LGBTQ2IA+ recovery residence is expanding bed capacity from 8 to 25,” said founder and Executive Director Chad Curtis. “We welcome everyone to come tour our new home, enjoy snacks, prizes and the installation of our new mural.”

The new location, “Jacob’s House,” named after Curtis’s late nephew Jacob, expands the organization’s capacity to serve more people in need, offering a safe, supportive, and affirming space for the LGBTQ+ recovery community.  The opening will closely precede the launch of We Are One Recovery’s new LGBTQIA2S+ Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), which will begin in June.
