NASHVILLE, TN – Pink Door Cookies, home of Nashville’s popular hand-crafted cookies with its iconic pink door origins, held a rainbow ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, September 14 to celebrate its new location in West Nashville.

The Tennessee Pride Chamber of Commerce facilitated the ribbon cutting with the business’s staff, family, and supporters in attendance. The event included the grand opening of the new location,  merchandise, giveaways, and of course – cookies!

“From humble beginnings supplying cookies to friends out of a home kitchen to having our first tiny but very cute brick and mortar location in Chestnut Hill to now having our largest, cutest, (and maybe silliest) space yet in Sylvan Heights, Pink Door Cookies has been on a wild ride thanks to this incredible community of cookie lovers!” said founder, Mathew Rice. “We’re so grateful to be able to share this exciting new era with Nashville and beyond!”

The new location keeps its signature neon pink signage and offers customers a chance to peruse their colorful array of merchandise while waiting for their cookie orders. The store also comes with an expansive outdoor seating area with colorful picnic tables underneath strings of light and plenty of store and street parking.

Pink Door Cookies was founded by owner and winner of the Food Network’s Chopped, Mathew Rice, who birthed the concept of Pink Door Cookies during the pandemic. Turning the economic hardships into an opportunity to feed his passion and spread joy, Rice sold his cookies out of his Nashville home and left them for customers outside his pink front door. The sweet legacy continues its newest chapter in Sylvan Park.

At the top of the image is a pink icon showing a maze, with a headline below reading “The Trans Youth Emergency Project Helps Families Through the Maze of Accessing Gender-Affirming Care.” Below that are three icons with text. The first is a blue and pink compass with text reading “Patient Navigation to out-of-state healthcare options,” the second is a network with a person in the middle, reading “Ecosystem of care where families can reliably turn” and the final is a blue and pink gift with text that reads “Emergency grants to offset travel and medicine costs.” Beneath that is the Trans Youth Emergency Project logo, and a line that says ““www.TransYouthEmergencyProject.org” Trans Youth Emergency Project Supports Trans Youth, Families 2 min read
