Mere days after being at Nashville Pride and just weeks after being honored as a finalist for the Corporate Partner of the Year at the 2024 Tennessee Pride Chamber’s Pride in Business Awards, Tractor Supply Company (TSC) delivered a huge slap to the face of the community that was just celebrating them.
In a news release today, the company stated they would be cutting some of the — very important — initiatives they have including data submission for the Human Rights Campaign (HRC); nonbusiness activities like pride festivals and voting campaigns; and Eliminate DEI roles and retiring their current DEI goals.
“We work hard to live up to our Mission and Values every day and represent the values of the communities and customers we serve. We have heard from customers that we have disappointed them. We have taken this feedback to heart” the statement continued.
It seems they have forgotten a large part of their customer base and employee roster are individuals who embrace and champion the items TSC is gearing up to cut.
More details will be updated as they become available.
