I must add that if you can get a whole theater to hate your character where they are booing you at the curtain call, you are a significant actor.
Another standout is Brianna Cameron who played Young Anna-Mae. She can belt out songs like she has been doing this for decades. She projects, enunciates, and brings to life the origin story of Tina Turner.
The production values of “Tina” are also top-notch, with stunning set design by Mark Thompson that transports audiences from smoky nightclubs to glittering concert halls. The choreography by Anthony Van Laast is dynamic and exhilarating, perfectly complementing the energy of Tina’s music.
