Nashville Film Festival Opens Thursday, September 29, Adds Additional Films and Special Guests

THE LOST KING and CALL JANE join lineup; dozens of filmmakers and creatives expected to attend 53rd annual festival

Nashville, TN (September 28, 2022) – The Nashville Film Festival (NashFilm) today announces final film additions to the festival’s program as well as a full roster of special guests scheduled to attend throughout the event, September 29 through October 5. Joining special presentations including Opening Night Selection The Return of Tanya Tucker, Aftersun and Nanny is The Lost King (pictured), Stephen Frears’ latest film starring Sally Hawkins and recounting the real-life discovery of King Richard III’s remains, thought to be lost for over 500 years; and Call Jane, Phyllis Nagy’s film that captures the essence of late-Sixties social change via one woman’s quest to get a safe and legal abortion. The Lost King screens Sunday, October 2 at The Franklin Theatre; Call Jane screens Wednesday, October 5 at Belcourt Theatre.
